FC Bayern Munich and Konami recently extended their partnership for the long term. Now Konami presented three Bayern legends for eFootball 2022.
Partnership pays off
Now Konami has exhausted and made public one of these possibilities in the form of three legends: Lothar Matthäus, Martin Demichelis and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge find their way into eFootball 2022. As legendary players, they are distinguished by having “achieved outstanding things during a specific season of their career”, according to Konami.
While Matthäus can also be played in EA SPORTS’ rival product FIFA, Demichelis and Rummenigge are exclusive cards that are only available in the Konami title. While Demichelis may not be among the pool of possible icons in FIFA, Rummenigge would certainly be a hot candidate – but like Oliver Kahn, for example, he is not available to EA SPORTS. The exclusive cooperation with Bayern thus pays off for the Japanese developer.
