For the first time in 2022, Konami has made itself known with content for eFootball 2022 – Rescue update 1.0.0 is still not scheduled.
Since the announcement that the announced rescue patch for eFootball 2022 would be delayed from November last year to spring this year, things have been quiet around the Konami title. Instead, the Japanese developer has kept the community busy in recent months with a voting campaign for the big “Fan’s XI”.
Now Konami has at least spoken up again in terms of content. However, there was nothing about the current state of development, except for the recurring plea for forgiveness: “We apologise for the long wait for the release of the eFootball 2022 update.”
Instead, the Japanese developer announced that the second pre-season match campaign was now starting. Until 17 February, various online PvP matches can be played as part of different events, with the number of matches and goals scored being taken into account in the scoring.
Random players as a reward
There is a random deal to win one of seven professional players for eFootball 2022 games: Lionel Messi, Neymar, Dayot Upamecano, Ansu Fati, Federico Chiesa, Marcus Rashford and Takefusa Kubo are in the draw. However, the rewards will only be awarded after update 1.0.0, which should finally make the Konami offshoot playable across the board.
There is still no date for this last straw among the patches, the original announcement of spring 2022 still stands. Nor can it be expected before 17 February and the end of the pre-season match campaign. The community must continue to be patient – and hope for an almost miraculous improvement.
