DTM BoP changed again: More weight for Mirko Bortolotti’s Lamborghini

Before Sunday’s DTM race in Spielberg, the Balance of Performance for three cars will be adjusted: In particular, the Lamborghini of the DTM leader will be slowed down

After Sunday’s qualifying in Spielberg, in which DTM leader Mirko Bortolotti took pole position and his title rivals had difficulties (qualifying report), the second change to the Balance of Performance (BoP) is now coming: And the Italian won’t like it at all. Because the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo2, which had to have ten kilograms loaded into it after Saturday, will have another 15 kilograms added to the car.

In addition, Bortolotti will have success ballast due to his Saturday victory, which means that the Italian car of the DTM leader is now 45 kilograms heavier than on Saturday. It will be interesting to see how this will affect the race.

The Lamborghini is not the only car affected by the changes: the Ferrari 296 GT3 will lose the 15 kilograms that it had to take on board after Saturday. This means that Jack Aitken’s car, which is starting from the back of the field, will be back to its Saturday weight.
