The DFB has announced the match schedules for the 3rd division beyond the turn of the year.
On Tuesday afternoon, the DFB published the fixtures for match days 18 to 25, giving clubs and fans a basis for planning until the beginning of February 2022.
The 3rd division will still have its second-round kick-off in 2021. The 20th matchday will take place on the weekend before Christmas, when 1. FC Kaiserslautern, among others, will have to play Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday. From a sporting point of view, the third league year is to be concluded with the Monday evening match between Würzburg and 1860 Munich on 20 December.
Afterwards, the teams will go into a short winter break, which will already end on 14 January 2022, when TSV Havelse and MSV Duisburg will play the first match of the new year on Friday evening.
