Aryna Sabalenka continues to speed through the tournament at the Australian Open. She doesn’t allow her opponent to win a single game in the third round
Defending champion Aryna Sabalenka has reached the round of 16 at the Australian Open in quick succession. The world number two from Belarus outclassed Lessia Zurenko from Ukraine 6:0, 6:0 in Melbourne and once again showed her impressive form.
The completely one-sided match in the Rod Laver Arena was over after just 52 minutes. Sabalenka had already been merciless against German qualifier Ella Seidel in the first round, winning 6-0, 6-1.
“I’m just super happy with the level I’m playing at the moment. I hope I can keep it up or maybe play even better,” said Sabalenka, who will now face American Amanda Anisimova.
