The qualifying round for the German Davis Cup team against hosts Hungary will take place on February 2 and 3 in Tatabanya on hard court. This was announced by the German Tennis Federation
Host Hungary had already been drawn to play captain Michael Kohlmann’s team at the end of November on the sidelines of this year’s Davis Cup final tournament in Malaga. The surface, the exact date and the venue were still open. According to the DTB, the match will be played in the 6500-capacity multifunctional hall in Tatabanya in north-western Hungary.
The DTB team did not qualify for the group stage this year. However, Germany avoided relegation in the relegation play-off with hosts Bosnia-Herzegovina.
