The new Ferrari race suits for the 2025 Formula 1 season are slightly darker than their predecessors – the car itself is also to get a slightly darker shade of red
Is Ferrari already giving a taste of the livery of the new Formula 1 car for the 2025 season? The Scuderia presented the new race suits for this year on Monday (including a video on social media).
It is noticeable that the basic color of the new overalls is a slightly darker red than last year. The racing suit that newcomer Lewis Hamilton wore for his first test drive in a Ferrari last week was also a slightly lighter shade.
This fits with information from the Italian edition of Motorsport.com, which reported some time ago that Ferrari will also be using a slightly darker shade of red for the car’s paintwork this year.
Meanwhile, the new race suits also differ from those from the previous season in other details. Among other things, the yellow stripe has disappeared; in 2025 there is only a white one that now extends across the drivers’ chests. Also new are, among other things, the sponsor logos of IBM on the collar of the overalls and Santander replacement Unicredit on the chest. What has remained, however, are the drivers’ names in capital letters on the back.
Together with the race suits, Hamilton and team-mate Charles Leclerc have also shown their helmet designs for the 2025 season. However, the record world champion had already presented his yellow helmet during his test in Fiorano the week before.

Leclerc is using a little more white this year, but the basic design with the Monegasque flag at the top remains unchanged. “I’m sure it will be fast,” the 27-year-old himself comments on his new helmet.
Whether the new Ferrari, which officially has no name yet, will be fast, will be revealed in the coming weeks. The car for the 2025 season is to be presented on February 19, one week later the official Formula 1 winter test begins in Bahrain.
Meanwhile, the world will get a first glimpse of the new Ferrari colors a day before the new car. The 2025 livery will be presented at the official Formula One season opening in London on February 18.
