In the minutes following Real Madrid’s Champion’s League final win, Cristiano Ronaldo was interviewed and instead of using the moment to enjoy the win and talk about his love for the club, he talked about his future possibly being elsewhere. The timing was either poor or carefully pre-planned, using the opportunity as a ‘come and get me plea’ for the few teams in the world that could potentially afford him.
Ronaldo’s last ever World Cup?
Whilst Portugal were still in the World Cup, there was little discussion of Ronaldo’s future, as he concentrated on trying to take his country into the later stages of the tournament. In the Round of 16, his La Liga rival Luis Suarez and his team mates sent Portugal home, in what may well have been Ronaldo’s last ever World Cup at 33 years old.
Juventus bid €100million for Ronaldo
Predictably, as soon as Portugal were knocked out, transfer news started up again and rumours of Ronaldo’s future emerged, with Juventus reportedly bidding €100 million for the five time Ballon d’Or winner. Whilst the deal seems far from done, Juventus are trying to arrange a possible unveiling of the superstar on Saturday at their stadium.

Guillem Balague, the most respected football expert in Spain has seemingly confirmed that the deal is very much going to happen. He said there was a meeting last night between Ronaldo’s representatives and Real Madrid, where it was re-iterated that Ronaldo wants to leave the club.
