Cristiano Ronaldo in – Marko Pjaca Out: Croatian International Offered to Liverpool

Marko Pjaca to leave Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in Juventus will have its consequences. One of them will be Croatian international, Marko Pjaca becoming surplus to requirements in Turin. Juve paid €23 million to acquire Pjaca back in 2016. At that time, he was considered to be one of the most gifted young talents in Europe. Injuries derailed that status, as Pjaca suffered two separate serious injuries after coming to Italy which then forced him to spend a total of nine months on the sidelines. He recorded only 14 appearances for the club before being loaned out to Schalke in January.

Following Ronaldo’s acquistion, The Old Lady will also need to balance its chequebooks. Offloading players is an inevitable part of the procedure. Pjaca is the first player to be put on the trade block. Multiple reports suggest Juventus has offered him to a few clubs, with Liverpool being one of them. At 23 years old, the Croatian forward is still young and could blossom into a quality player under the right circumstances. He will demand a fee similar to the one paid to acquire him from Dinamo Zagreb in the first place.

Marko Pjaca fit for Liverpool

Signing Pjaca would be an insurance policy for Liverpool in case Sadio Mane decides to switch sides and move to Spain. Real Madrid is looking for a replacement for Ronaldo and Mane is reportedly one of the players on top of their list.

Marko Pjaca other potential suitor

If Pjaca opts to stay in Italy, his most likely destination is Fiorentina. La Viola have tried to get a deal done with Juventus before, but the Turin giants have insisted on adding an option on Federico Chiesa before agreeing to terms, something Fiorentina have been reluctant to do. Chiesa is one of the most wanted players in Europe and could fetch a fee much higher than the one Juventus would be prepared to offer.
