With Christmas barely over, VfL Bochum are already back in training. On Monday, the twelfth-placed team in the table started work, as did bottom-placed SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

However, Konstantinos Stafylidis was missing for the start of the second half of the season. The Greek left-back tested positive for the corona virus while on home leave and remains in quarantine.
According to a VfL tweet on Monday, the 28-year-old will return to Bochum early in the new year. His use in the first match against VfL Wolfsburg on 9 January is uncertain.
