Celtics get 50th win of the season – Mavericks beat Pistons

Daniel Theis continues to have a chance with the Boston Celtics for the best starting position in the NBA play-offs. The record champions won 117-94 at the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night and remain hot on the heels of the league-leading Miami Heat.

Theis played from the start in the Celtics’ 50th win of the season, finishing with a solid 15 points and six rebounds. Of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, the Celtics are currently in the best form, before Thursday’s clash with the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks, the team has eight wins in ten games.

The Dallas Mavericks are in similarly good shape in the Western Conference. The 131-113 win over the Detroit Pistons was the seventh victory in the past ten games for the team led by Luka Doncic, who recorded the best figures of the game with 26 points and 14 assists. National player Maxi Kleber was again absent due to right ankle complaints.

Hartenstein with ten points

While the Celtics and Dallas are already firmly qualified for the championship round, the Los Angeles Clippers with Isaiah Hartenstein will have to go the roundabout way of the qualifying round. However, the team seems to be prepared and scored a 113-109 win against league leader Phoenix Suns. Hartenstein contributed ten points, seven rebounds and five assists.

In the Knicks’ New York clash with the Brooklyn Nets, Kevin Durant had a strong night, leading the Nets to a 110-98 win at Madison Square Garden.
