British tennis player Francesca Jones collapsed during a match at a tournament in the Colombian capital Bogota. With the score at 3-5 in the third set, the 24-year-old was in the middle of serving before she sank to the ground and had to give up. Jones was treated directly by a medical team and taken off the court in a wheelchair.

The Briton is currently ranked 129th in the world. Jones was born with the rare condition ectrodactyly-ectodermal dysplasia syndrome and has often had to deal with physical problems. She has four fingers and a total of seven toes on both hands due to the genetic defect. Jones has repeatedly suffered from severe cramps.
