Bosz deeply disappointed with penalty point for Lyon

Olympique Lyon coach Peter Bosz is not pleased with the sanction imposed following the discontinued duel with Olympique Marseille.

Little (0 – 0) Olympique Lyonnais

The problems in the game against Olympique Marseille led to a sanction for Lyon. On Wednesday it became clear that Les Gones had to give up one point as a result of the canceled meeting . The game will now be replayed behind closed doors.

“I am very disappointed about that,” Bosz said about the penalty. “What happened is not right. But to punish the club… There were sixty thousand people in the stadium and there is one crazy person who does that.’

In Bosz’s view, Lyon is wrongly punished. “It was Marseille that refused to play. The referee said very clearly: “We are going to play again.” But Marseille refused. And now it is we who are being punished.’

Bosz is working towards the duel with Lille. Despite the disappointing results, he still feels enough support and confidence. “We work very well with the players, even now that the good results are not there.”
