Boris Becker still follows everything that happens in the tennis world. The youngest Wimbledon winner of all time also keeps an eye on the tournament that he himself won at the age of 17. On Sunday, however, the 56-year-old caused irritation with a post on the X platform regarding his former protégé Holger Rune.
The Dane has to prove himself against South Korean Kwon Soon-woo in the first round on Tuesday and is already in London. Becker wrote: “Quick question: I see Patrick Mouratoglou in London, but NOT with Holger Rune at Wimbledon… are they still working together?!? “

Rune, who still seems to have a good relationship with Becker, replied: “It’s super strange that you’re not asking me this question directly, because we’re talking about other things. The answer to your question is yes, we work together. We divide the tournaments between us as planned.”
In addition to Mouratoglou, Rune also has another coach: Lars Christensen. He already trained him when he was still a child. According to the Dane, both coaches split the tournaments between them.
Becker coached the Dane for four months before the German announced their separation in February of this year. At the time, Becker said: “Due to professional and personal commitments, I can’t give Holger what he needs at the moment.” The 20-year-old Dane returned to his former coach Patrick Mouratoglou, despite previous problems.
