After the departures of ‘Kkoray’, ‘BeneCR7’ and ‘Godly10’ there is good news at VfL Bochum: Talent Laurin-Noah ‘Snakez’ Bartsch extends his contract until 2023.
This fills one of the gaps left by the departures of Benedikt ‘BeneCR7’ Bauer and Koray ‘Kkoray’ Kücükgünar in recent days. Bartsch not only extended his contract, but was also promoted to a permanent position in the professional squad.
Proved quality in the eCL
He earned this step through a strong season in which he even made it to the final round of the eChampions League as a substitute. “As an eTalentwerk player, he rocked the eCL internationally and showed his enormous abilities,” said Bochum’s eSports Director Michael Fischer, summing up Bartsch’s past season. For him, ‘Snakez’ is “a prime example of how important youth work is in eFootball”, and promotion to the professional squad is therefore “the logical consequence”.
It is currently unclear who will prove themselves together with Bartsch in the VBL in the coming season. However, the VfL has taken a first step in its reorganisation with this internal solution.
