For WWE young star Cora Jade, the wrestling year 2024 may be over early. The 23-year-old is out for a long time with a torn cruciate ligament
Bitter pill for WWE young star Cora Jade: The 23-year-old has suffered a serious injury and may not be able to get back into the ring in 2024, which has just begun.
Jade, part of the NXT developmental roster, suffered a torn ACL in a non-televised match against Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria over the weekend. This was confirmed by WWE on Tuesday’s NXT weekly TV show. The commentators told fans that Jade would be out for about a year.

WWE: Cora Jade just back from hiatus
On X, Jade posted a picture of her injured knee and commented on her misfortune with a pugnaciously defiant quote from the cult movie “Fight Club”: “Only after we’ve lost everything do we have the freedom to do everything.”
Jade had only returned to WWE TV in December after several months away and was sent into a feud with title-holder Valkyria. In Jade’s place, her former partner and rival Roxanne Perez won a battle royal on Tuesday and a title match at next month’s Vengeance Day event.
