Big change is said to be fixed

Just days before the AEW mega-show at Wembley, it’s being reported that the WWE rival has finalized a major personnel coup

Bobby Lashley and MVP calling off their tents in WWE? Shane McMahon, who already had a meeting with boss Tony Khan? With the All In mega-show at London’s Wembley Stadium just days away, speculation is rampant as to whether WWE rival AEW will unveil a personnel coup there.

One lead to a former WWE star got even hotter on Thursday: the one to Ricochet.

The innovative high-flyer, who left WWE at the beginning of the summer, has been linked to Tony Khan’s promotion for some time – not least because his old companion and rival Will Ospreay would be waiting for him there.

Now reporter Sean Ross Sapp’s usually well-informed portal Fightful has confirmed the news: Ricochet has signed a “multi-year deal” with AEW, it says. It’s not the first, but the most concrete report in this direction so far

The former Intercontinental and US Champion had his WWE deal expire in June and was written out of the program with an attack from shooting star Bron Breakker. The AEW rumor mill was already churning when a character named Hologram was introduced in video segments – but turned out to be the former Aramis from Mexico.

The annual highlight All In on Sunday would be an obvious opportunity to stage an acclaimed surprise debut. The question of whether this will happen and whether it is the only personnel coup AEW has up its sleeve will keep many fans busy until then.
