Jude Bellingham is the talk of the town, currently one of the best players in the world. The young Englishman didn’t even expect this start at Real Madrid himself.

The 20-year-old Englishman has now scored eight goals in eight league games.
Added to that are two goals in the Champions League, which helped the royals to victories against Union and in Naples. That the Englishman would take off like this at Real Madrid after stints at Birmingham City and Borussia Dortmund (132 games, 24 goals) surprises even himself. “I’m a confident player, but I didn’t expect such a good start,” admits Bellingham. “I’m very happy. We have to keep this level all season. “
Bellingham remains humble – and wants more
Bellingham has been a perfect fit for the Royals, who have had a strong season so far thanks in part to the summer arrival from Dortmund. In addition to the two wins in the Champions League, there have been eight treys and only one defeat in nine league games (first place ahead of Girona and Barcelona). “At this stage of the season, you can’t ask for more. At the moment things are going well for us,” said Bellingham, who modestly assured, “I have both feet on the ground, but I want more.”
But now club football rests for a few days and the international break is on the agenda. England and Bellingham have a Test match against Australia coming up on Friday before they continue their European Championship qualifying campaign against Italy next Tuesday (17 October, 8.45pm). “I hope to get two wins and come back with the same rhythm and mentality to help my team win again,” the midfielder said.
