Ex-world champion Frederic Sinistra dies at the age of only 40 as a result of his Corona infection, previously discharging himself from hospital. His wife contradicts the account.
Former world kickboxing champion Frederic Sinistra has died.
The 40-year-old apparently died on 16 December as a result of a corona infection after discharging himself from hospital. This was reported by Belgian media, citing acute respiratory distress as the cause of death.
In November, Sinistra was diagnosed with a corona infection – which Sinistra denied, according to the reports.
Background presumably: The martial artist, who was described as the “strongest man in Belgium”, was considered a Corona denier and allegedly did not even want to use the word Corona in his mouth.

Sinistra himself had last shared photos on Instagram showing him with an oxygen tube. He only went to the hospital because his manager convinced him to do so, he said.
Intriguingly, Sinistras’ wife spoke out on Boxing Day via social media about the sad events, claiming that her husband did not die at all as a result of Corona’s illness.
“Never would he have accepted people using what happened to him to spread fear and promote vaccination,” she wrote.
Wife contradicts Corona account
On 13 December, Sinistra had still spoken out on Facebook about his health: “Thank you for your support. I am recovering at home as it should be. I will come back a thousand times stronger. “
The Belgian had enjoyed a high profile in his home country. Three times Sinistra was even world champion in kickboxing.
