After the 0:2 at FC Barcelona to start the competition, the youngsters of the German record champion also struggled in their first home match. The Ukrainians, who had already won their first match 4-0 against Benfica Lisbon, started more buoyantly.
Diallo had two good opportunities to put the visitors in front in the early stages. But the first shot went just wide of the right post (7th) and Bayern keeper Hülsmann was on hand for the second (16th). The only chance for the Munich team in the first 30 minutes came from a standard. Kabadayi took his measure from 20 metres and circled the ball onto the crossbar (19). But the first goal came from the opposite side: Once again, the Munich team could not get Diallo under control, this time Salihamidzic lost the decisive header duel before the 0:1 (33.). After the change of ends, the hopes of the hosts for an equaliser were abruptly ended. Kiev proved to be ice-cold in front of goal and increased the lead to 3:0 within two minutes through Diallo (57th) and Voloshyn (59th). Shortly afterwards, Hülsmann prevented the next goal with a brilliant save against Diallo (65th). Chances were now aplenty, the game knew only one direction. At the latest after Brazhko’s header, which came completely unchallenged after a corner and just missed the goal, the Munich team was still very well served with the 0:3. Dynamo then played out the clock with aplomb, but struck again through Skrypnyk (85th).
On 20 October (4 p.m.), the FCB will have their next chance to score for the first time in their third group match at Benfica Lisbon. On the same day (2 p.m.), Kiev will face FC Barcelona in Spain.
