Brose Bamberg are the last team to qualify for the play-offs in the Basketball Bundesliga. The Franconians won their last main round game against the Hamburg Towers on Sunday evening with 77:67 (38:38).
The Bamberg team thus secured eighth place in the table. In the first play-off round, the former series champions will now face defending champions Alba Berlin. The Towers will face the Telekom Baskets Bonn. The best scorer for Bamberg was Justin Robinson with 20 points.
Bambergers already had reason to celebrate before the game. The club announced the contract extension with national player Christian Sengfelder. The captain prematurely extended his contract, which actually runs until the end of the coming season, until 2025.
