Baldwin replacement found: Göttingen sign ex-NBA player Martin

Göttingen have signed a replacement for their injured top scorer Kamar Baldwin on the last day of the transfer deadline. The former NBA player Jeremiah Martin from the USA signed a contract with the Lower Saxons on Thursday, the club did not give any details about the duration.

The 25-year-old guard made a total of 21 appearances for the Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA from 2019 to 2021. He then moved abroad for the first time to the New Zealand Breakers in the New Zealand League.

“After Kamar’s injury, we had to act quickly. Jeremiah fits our profile well. He can play the two and one positions just like Kamar and has scoring qualities,” said Göttingen coach Roel Moors. BG star Baldwin suffered a partially torn pectoral muscle last weekend and will therefore have to take a break for several weeks.
