Ellyes Skhiri (26) will be absent from 1. FC Köln for the time being. This was announced by the Bundesliga club on Wednesday.
The 1st FC Cologne also did not give an exact diagnosis, writing only of a “knee injury” sustained by Ellyes Skhiri while playing for the Tunisian national team in Mauritania.
It is not entirely clear how long the 26-year-old will be out. The FC writes that Skhiri will have to take a break “until further notice”.
The midfielder is undoubtedly one of Cologne’s best players this season and has a kicker grade average of 2.75 in seven Bundesliga games.
