Antonio Radelja moves to Frankfurt

Antonio ‘AntonioRadelja’ Radelja will wear the eagle on his chest from the upcoming season. The player comes from Nuremberg.

That was quick: On Thursday, Antonio ‘AntonioRadelja’ Radelja’s departure from Nuremberg was announced, but on Friday his new challenge was confirmed. In future he will play for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Radelja will now play for his hometown. In his first year as a professional FIFA player, he reached the Grand Final of the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) in the 2018/19 season. In 2019/20 and 2020/21 he reached the play-offs respectively, and in 2021/22 he was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the VBL Grand Final against eventual finalist Umut ‘Umut’ Gültekin.

“I am very happy to be here. Not only do I have a personal connection to Frankfurt, but I have also been observing the work of the eSports organisers for a long time and am impressed by what they have achieved in recent years. I hope that I can help the team and the club with my experience and I am looking forward to the next VBL CC season as an Eagle Bearer,” said Radelja.

Completing the team will be Emil ‘Emil’ Köhler and Aymane ‘Aymane’ Mokallik. Maximilian ‘MB13’ Beck will be team and player coordinator for the SGE FIFA team next season. A few weeks ago, Andy ‘Andy’ Gube left Eintracht.
