‘Anders’ remains unbeaten on FIFAe Nations debut

Anders ‘Anders’ Vejrgang made his official debut for Denmark in the FIFAe Nations Series play-ins and played a key role in their first-place finish.

While the DFB duo of Dylan ‘DullenMIKE’ Neuhausen and Kai ‘Hensoo’ Hense more than struggled in Conference Two on Thursday and Friday, the Danes managed to win Division One in the first Conference. An impressive debut on the official FIFA stage was made by wonderkid ‘Anders’.

The recently turned 16-year-old RB Leipzig professional was directly nominated by the Danish national team for the second week of the FIFAe Nations Series Play-Ins. And anyone who thought the teenager was suffering from stage fright was quickly proved wrong.

Two wins to start the week

‘Anders’ played in every one of the seven duels, making his debut against Switzerland on Thursday: In a duet with ‘Ustun’, he defeated ‘gianluca_m17’ and ‘IQONIC_Nisi’ 3-0. In the encounter with Turkey, Vejrgang and his 2vs2 partner also had the upper hand against ‘KTzn_91’ and ‘iMertAL’ (1-0).

The top talent showed no sign of any teething problems, and against Luxembourg he scored four points alongside ‘Marcuzo’ in 1-1 and 3-0 defeats of ‘xfabinhoo’ and ‘ivanilsonlpvm’. The two Irishmen ‘XampLXx’ and ‘TyroneRyann’ were then beaten 3:2 and 4:1 in the same line-up.

Dream start to international career

The only real problems ‘Anders’ had together with ‘Ustun’ were against the French ‘LJR_Peixoto’ and ‘fouma’ (1:1), the duel was lost 1:4 – the only overall defeat for the Danes. Already in the encounter with the Netherlands, however, the rehabilitation against ‘LePecheurr’ and ‘CollinX52’ took place in the doubles with ‘Marcuzo’ (5:1 and 3:0).

Finally, Vejrgang and ‘Ustun’ again failed to win 0-0 against Poland’s ‘milosz93’ and ‘Furman’, but first place in the table was still set in stone. ‘Anders’ was involved in seven wins and three draws in his ten games, a dream start to his international career.

Also in the VBL on Wednesday?

He has yet to make his debut on the national stage, he was not allowed to play on the last double matchday of the VBL Club Championship. The next opportunity will come on Wednesday evening, when Leipzig face defending champions 1. FC Heidenheim and last-place SSV Jahn Regensburg.
