Tennis pro Daniel Altmaier fell at his first hurdle at the ATP Masters in Rome. The player from Kempten lost 4:6, 4:6 to the Italian Luca Nardi late on Thursday evening and thus missed out on a second round duel with Holger Rune from Denmark.
The German pros Jan-Lennard Struff, Yannick Hanfmann and Dominik Koepfer had previously made it through to the second round in the Italian capital, while Alexander Zverev had a bye in the opening round.
