The two German tennis pros Daniel Altmaier and Yannick Hanfmann have reached the second round of the tennis tournament in Miami
The 25-year-old Altmaier beat Frenchman Harold Mayot 6:2, 7:5 in his opening match at the 8.77 million dollar event. The second round will see a German duel with Jan-Lennard Struff, who, like Alexander Zverev, had a bye.
Hanfmann defeated Emil Ruusuvuori from Finland 6:4, 4:6, 6:4 and will now face Adrian Mannarino from France. Dominik Koepfer (30) is also through to round two. His next opponent will be Sebastian Baez from Argentina.
Meanwhile, Laura Siegemund lost her second round duel with Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko 6:7 (3:6), 4:6.
