Allied-Racing tests for ADAC GT Masters and GTWC Europe: The rookie sees Sven Müller as the perfect teammate for the 2022 season
For three days, Allied-Racing, the new team in the ADAC GT Masters, tested with Joel Sturm at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet. The team will be making its debut in the German GT Championship this year.
The three-day test mainly involved set-up work. According to information from , two Porsche 911 GT3 R cars were in action – one for the GT World Challenge (GTWC) Europe and one for the ADAC GT Masters.
One car was driven by GTWC drivers Dominik Fischli and Patrik Matthiesen, who contest the Endurance Cup with Joel Sturm. The other car was driven by Sturm and Sven Müller. Allied-Racing came into possession of a second 911 GT3 R for the ADAC GT Masters at the end of last year.
“It was a very successful test for us. We tried out a lot on the car and have come to understand it very well. I think we are very well prepared for this year in the ADAC GT Masters. “
The 20-year-old’s most important insight: “Sven and I are on a very good and similar level, also in terms of speed. Our riding style is relatively similar and we both get along with the same set-up. That fits very well.” Sturm already drove the 3-hour races at the Nürburgring and in Barcelona for Allied-Racing alongside Julien Apotheloz and Bastian Buus.
For a winter test in the south of France it went well, Allied-Racing experienced two cloudless days. Only on the final day did drizzle set in in the afternoon, which cut the test programme a little short. Planned long runs had to be postponed until further tests. Allied-Racing will test at Imola and again at Le Castellet as part of the official GTWC testing in March.
