The MLP Academics Heidelberg has responded to the absence of national player Paul Zipser due to injury by bringing back Jeffrey Carroll
The penultimate team in the table made the announcement on Monday. Carroll had already played for Heidelberg until the end of December 2023 before the temporary separation. Zipser will be out for a few weeks due to knee problems.
“As you know, we now have a new coach on the sidelines in Ingo Freyer, who came to the conclusion after intensive discussions with Jeff and the team that Jeff deserved a second chance,” said managing partner Matthias Lautenschläger.
Freyer succeeded Joonas Iisalo as head coach. The Academics face the Syntainics MBC from Weißenfels this evening and Carroll will be part of the squad
