Yannick Gerhardt (27) is unlikely to miss any time at VfL Wolfsburg. This is the result of further examinations.
Not even a quarter of an hour had passed in the test match between VfL Wolfsburg and Hamburger SV on Wednesday evening before it was already over for Yannick Gerhardt.
The midfielder had injured his foot in a foul by Robin Meißner and had to be carried off the field with support and then taken to hospital.
The following day, the Wolves gave the all-clear: after detailed examinations, a contusion of the right metatarsal was diagnosed. Gerhardt will have to sit out training “for the time being”, but the club did not say anything else.
