Frankfurt coach Oliver Glasner had to undergo facial surgery after a fall with an e-scooter.
Oliver Glasner had to undergo facial surgery at Frankfurt University Hospital on Sunday, Eintracht announced. Glasner broke his cheekbone in a fall with an e-scooter. “Unfortunately, I was inattentive for a small moment and had an unfortunate fall. Luckily nothing worse happened to me,” Glasner said. “The face is swollen. But apart from that, everything is fine.”
Co-coaches Michael Angerschmid and Ronald Brunmayr took over training on Sunday. The match preparation for the opener against Borussia Dortmund (Saturday, 6.30 p.m.) is not expected to be affected, as Glasner could resume his work as early as Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on the healing process.
