At Blood and Guts, WWE rival AEW once again delivers a wild cage spectacle – and unveils a new face.
One of the biggest TV events of the wrestling year once again offered a brutally spectacular cage battle – and the unveiling of a newcomer.
At Blood and Guts, an annual special edition of the show Dynamite, AEW staged the eponymous match in turbulent fashion, fixed new matches for the annual highlight All In at London’s Wembley Stadium – and also presented a new face: Kamille, the former women’s champion of the NWA
league association.
Kamille debuts at AEW alongside Mercedes Moné
Kamille attacked crowd favorite Britt Baker before the Blood and Guts match after she challenged TBS Champion Mercedes Moné (formerly WWE’s Sasha Banks) to a match at Wembley. Moné refused, whereupon Kamille ambushed Baker, took her into the Torture Rack once made famous by Lex Luger – and then posed with Moné.

The 1.78-meter-tall Kamille (real name Kayley Latimer – she is married to Charlotte Flair’s ex-husband Thomas “Bram” Latimer) has been the female figurehead of the NWA in recent years. Under the direction of rock legend Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), who promotes the once-glorious federation, she was champion for over 800 days between 2021 and 2023.
At the end of last year, her contract expired and she became a free agent – with her debut now confirming reports that AEW has won the race for the Hünin.
Blood & Guts ends with a brutal clou
So while AEW has delayed the announcement of Baker vs. Moné (it’s still considered a certainty), two other new matches for Wembley are official: after last week’s 58-minute marathon, there’s a rematch between local English hero Will Ospreay and MJF – who provocatively renamed the International Title won by Ospreay the “American Title”.
Also new on the card is a match for the TNT Title: Champion Jack Perry will face Darby Allin, who “earned” this match in a special way at the end of Blood and Guts, in a duel of home-grown talent.
Allin and Perry were part of the two-ring cage battle between Team AEW (Swerve Strickland, Allin, Mark Briscoe, The Acclaimed) and The Elite (The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, Perry, Hangman Page), which entertained fans with numerous fall stunts and the use of sometimes violent weaponry.
Allin led Team AEW, rebelling against the New Elite’s reign of terror established in the spring, to victory by handcuffing rival Perry to the cage, dousing him with gasoline and threatening to set actor Luke Perry’s son on fire. The Bucks then capitulated to protect their teammate.
The Megashow All In takes place on August 25th in London.
