ADAC GT Masters presents grid for 2022 with 23 cars

23 cars from five brands and seven former champions: ADAC has presented the grid for the 2022 season of the German GT Championship

Despite the departure of some established teams, 23 cars will be competing in the ADAC GT Masters in the 2022 season. This is according to the provisional list of participants published by the ADAC on Monday. The total of 46 drivers, some of whom have yet to be determined, represent eleven nations, including around 20 factory drivers and campaigners with experience from Formula 1, WEC and IMSA.

Seven former ADAC GT Masters champions feature among the entrants for the 2022 season, while 13 teams, including six newcomers, will battle it out for the German GT Championship titles in the 14 rounds of the season with GT3 cars from Audi, BMW, Lamborghini, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche.

“The ADAC GT Masters is once again entering its 16th season with a top-class field of participants including many renowned drivers, teams and sports car manufacturers,” says ADAC Sports President Gerd Ennser. “This underlines how strong and attractive the German GT Championship is. With the new innovative and sustainable fuel and the continuation of our cooperation with BWT, we are taking on a pioneering role for greater sustainability. “

“The successful cooperation with our TV partner Nitro is entering its second season, last year more viewers than ever watched the series on the channels of RTL Germany. The live broadcasts and the cooperation with RTL Germany will further strengthen the reputation of the ADAC GT Masters as one of the world’s best GT series,” Ennser is convinced.
