Champion Salzburg’s test match against ZSKA Sofia was abandoned a quarter of an hour before the end after a spectator fell from the stands in Anif.
A test match between champions RB Salzburg and ZSKA Sofia was abandoned prematurely on Friday evening after a fan suffered an accident in the 75th minute. According to a Salzburg club spokesman, the spectator at the match in Anif fell from the several-metre-high stands and sustained serious injuries.
Salzburg’s team doctor as well as the rescue services were involved in the treatment. The injured man was taken away by rescue helicopter. At the time of the abandonment, the score was 2:1 for Salzburg. The goals for the “Bullen” had been scored by young striker Roko Simic (37th) and Junior Adamu (52nd).
