Do you know the German Alphonso Davies in FIFA 22? Or Hakimi’s perfect replacement and the Swedish youngster who matches the best wingers in the Premier League? We present three doppelgangers of the FUT mode.
Who doesn’t love playing with Ronaldo, Messi or Kanté in FIFA 22 – the absolute top cards. However, they all cost a lot of coins and the same personnel over and over again can also get boring. That’s why players go in search of alternatives every now and then.
These substitutes never come close to the original. Nevertheless, there are some players whose values are surprisingly similar to those of a few world stars: our doubles.
A perfect replacement
The first one is Youcef Atal from OGC Nice. The right-back is currently having a good season in Ligue 1, which EA SPORTS has already rewarded with three inform cards. By one of them he reaches the most used right-back in FIFA 22 according to FUTBIN: Achraf Hakimi.
The parallels are obvious: both have high-medium work rates, are endowed with ample stars on the weak foot as well as in special moves, and have similar stats.
Although Hakimi is four points ahead of Atal’s first inform in overall rating, their individual scores for pace, dribbling, defence, physicality, passing and shooting are never more than two points apart. Moreover, since Hakimi and Atal both play in Ligue 1, they can be substituted one-for-one in many teams.
Same league, same player
91 pace, 87 dribbling, 82 shooting, 66 physicality, four stars special moves, three on the weak foot – not bad stats Raheem Sterling puts on the sheet. He’s not the only one with that, though:
Jesper Karlsson could say exactly the same about himself. The ’83 version of the Swedish player on the left wing is also separated by only a few points from Sterling in terms of passing and defence.
Since Karlsson plays for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie, a simple switch with the City offensive man in FUT is not so easy. Otherwise, however, the two are very similar – Karlsson is also only one centimetre taller than Sterling at 1.71 metres.
Fast as lightning
In order to stop the best wingers in the world, full-backs usually have to have great pace. That is also a strength of Bayern’s jewel on the left side of defence: Alphonso Davies.
The Canadian is fast, strong on the dribble, also takes the paths forward and delivers short passes with confidence. He is not the only one in the Bundesliga with this: David Raum can also convince in these areas.
Raum moved from Greuther Fürth to TSG Hoffenheim in the summer and has gradually developed there. His second inform card now already reaches Davies. 95 pace, 83 dribbling, 75 defending as well as a high work rate forward resemble Bayern’s right-back and make him our third double in FUT mode.
