Munich – Dutch tennis pro Botic van de Zandschulp has become the first player to reach the final of the clay court tournament in Munich. The world number 40 beat Miomir Kecmanovic of Serbia 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 in the semifinals.
After almost three hours, van de Zandschulp converted his second match point. In the first final of his career, the 26-year-old will meet either German Oscar Otte or Danish youngster Holger Rune. The 19-year-old had surprisingly won against top favourite Alexander Zverev in the last 16.
