In addition to national basketball player Justus Hollatz of the Hamburg Towers, Kay Bruhnke of medi Bayreuth also wants to enter the NBA.
Both have signed up for the talent selection draft on June 23, the league announced on Wednesday. Because of their age, they can still withdraw in June. From college, Collin Welp, son of Germany’s European champion Chris Welp who died in 2015, is also hoping to make an early jump to the NBA.
The 21 year old Aufbauspieler Hollatz had already stated last that his application was first a “formal step” in order to meet the deadline for it. The 20-year-old Bruhnke can now also test whether he is highly rated by the clubs of the best league in the world and has a chance of being selected.
From the Bundesliga, 18-year-old Montenegrin Fedor Zugic from ratiopharm Ulm also registered for the draft for the time being.
