Miami – Australian tennis pro Nick Kyrgios has lost his round of 16 match against Jannik Sinner at the Masters in Miami and, as he has done many times in his career, also lost control of himself.
Because of several outbursts, the 26-year-old first collected a point penalty in the tiebreak of the first set and then also a game penalty at the beginning of the second set during the changeover, according to the US news agency AP. Kyrgios had previously smashed his racket and complained loudly to the umpire, accusing him of having no idea. Sinner, who comes from South Tyrol, eventually won the match 7:6 (7:3), 6:3 and is through to the quarter-finals.
