Dubai – Davis Cup player Tim Pütz has won his seventh doubles title on the ATP Tour.
The 34-year-old teamed up with New Zealander Michael Venus to beat top-seeded Croatian duo Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 16-14 in the final of the Dubai tournament after just under two hours. With Venus, Pütz from Frankfurt had already won the titles in Paris and Hamburg last year.
In the singles final in Dubai, Russian Andrey Rublyov defeated Jiri Vesely from the Czech Republic 6:3, 6:4.
