Dallas (dpa) – Qualifier Cedrik-Marcel Stebe has reached the last 16 at the ATP tournament in Dallas.
The 31-year-old beat American Denis Kudla 7-6 (9-7), 3-6, 6-3 and will now face second seeded American Reilly Opelka. The two tennis pros Peter Gojowczyk and Oscar Otte were eliminated from the event, which is endowed with 792,980 dollars. Gojowczyk lost to the Briton Liam Broady 1:6, 4:6, Otte was defeated by the American Jack Sock 4:6, 4:6.
