Melbourne – Kristina Mladenovic and Ivan Dodig have won their first Grand Slam mixed title together at the Australian Open for professional tennis.
The French-Croatian duo defeated Australian wildcard pair Jaimee Fourlis and Jason Kubler 6-3, 6-4 in Melbourne on Friday, with Mladenovic and Dodig the number five seed.
In men’s doubles, the Australians will definitely celebrate a win at their home Grand Slam on Saturday as Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis take on Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell in an Australian final. In singles, Australia’s world number one Ashleigh Barty can claim victory against surprise American finalist Danielle Collins on Saturday.
