VBL clubs upgrade: Five talented players signed up

Five new players will be on show in the second round of the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) Club Championship by bevestor, with some clubs bringing up young talent.

Berkay ‘BerkayLion’ Demirci is currently on a steep climb: only last November he qualified for the VBL Playoffs on PlayStation 5 via the VBL Open, and now the next step in the junior player’s promotion process is taking place.

SV Werder Bremen took advantage of the re-registration period between the last matchday of last year and the first of this year to include ‘BerkayLion’ in the professional squad around top forces Michael ‘MegaBit’ Bittner and Ali ‘PredatorFIFA’ Oskoui Rad.

Bellar children rely on new blood

In addition to the Bremen side, four other clubs have made personnel adjustments. Colin ‘Cooolliiin.fifa’ Völter has already celebrated his debut for Holstein Kiel. He hinted at his talent in the 2-1 defeat of FC Schalke 04’s Julius ‘Juli’ Kühle on Tuesday evening and is expected to help the Kielers move out of last place in the North-West Division as the season progresses.

The second-last team in the table has also upgraded: at SC Paderborn, Jonas ‘Jonny’ Wirth takes up the fourth spot in the squad. The East Westphalians are only one place better off than the Kielers, the gap to the play-off places in the North-West is already 17 points.

‘VfLSnakez1848’ replaces ‘VfLBlackdave’

VfL Bochum had already occupied the maximum squad size of five players in the first leg, so the pre-season main round winners had to make a swap. New to the squad is Laurin-Noah ‘VfLSnakez_1848’ Bartsch, who replaces David ‘VfLBlackdave’ Technow.

‘VfLBlackdave’ was signed to a professional contract for the first time last summer, but did not feature in the first half of the season and, as VfL recently explained, is now having to take a break due to school commitments.

‘whiteezz05’ to make debut for Hoffenheim

There is only one change in the south-east squad: Fabrice ‘whiteezz05’ Weiß comes from TSG Hoffenheim’s own youth squad and takes the place of Marcel ‘plaplup’ Schwarz. ‘whiteezz05’ is expected to make his debut as early as Wednesday, with the 16-year-old in the line-up for both the Xbox singles and doubles against 1. FC Nürnberg and Hertha BSC.

“The promotion means a lot to me as I can finally compete with the best players in Germany in 90s mode,” ‘whiteezz05’ is quoted as saying by TSG. “I hope to score to take the team forward after the first half of the season.” Hoffenheim currently occupy eleventh place and still fall far short of expectations.
