According to the Bundesliga leaders, Manuel Neuer (on holiday in the Maldives), Kingsley Coman (Dubai), Corentin Tolisso (France) and Omar Richards were caught shortly before the start of preparations for the second half of the season. Like Toppmöller, they are all “doing well”. They are in domestic isolation.
At the same time, Bayern announced that they were postponing the start of training from 2 to 3 January, i.e. they would not get going again until Monday. “As a result of the adjustment of the testing and hygiene concept to the current pandemic situation, all players, coaches and staff members will first be PCR-tested on the morning of 3 January,” read the club’s statement on Saturday.
“I will spend the next few days in quarantine because I have tested positive for Corona,” Neuer himself spoke out via Instagram. “Thanks for all the get-well wishes! I’m doing quite well so far, luckily I only have mild symptoms. Take care and stay healthy!”
