Drastic spectator restrictions are once again being introduced at sports venues in Bavaria due to the current Corona situation.
The capacity utilisation in stadiums and halls at sporting events is to be limited to “a maximum of 25 percent “ This was announced by Prime Minister Markus Söder at a press conference on Friday. The measures are to be passed in the state parliament next Tuesday and will apply from Tuesday night until 15 December for the time being. For example, a maximum of 18,750 spectators will be allowed at FC Bayern home games.
The 2GPlus rule will then apply to spectators in stadiums in the Free State. Only vaccinated and recovered spectators who also have a current negative coronary test will be admitted.
In so-called hotspots with a seven-day incidence of over 1000, according to Söder “everything must be closed “ – including the venues for sporting events.
Current match day not yet affected
1. FC Nürnberg already reacted to the developments on Friday afternoon and stopped ticket sales for the two remaining home matches until the winter break. SpVgg Greuther Fürth announced that they would refund any one-day tickets already purchased for the home match against Hoffenheim on 27 November, while Arminia Bielefeld cancelled all guest tickets for the away match at FC Bayern on the same day. FCB itself announced that all day tickets for the Bielefeld match are no longer valid and will be refunded.
The current matchday, however, is not yet affected by the regulations. The duel between FC Augsburg and FC Bayern on Friday evening will take place with a capacity of about 100 per cent in compliance with the 2G regulation.
