The capital derby between 1. FC Union and Hertha BSC can be played with the maximum possible spectator capacity – under 2G conditions.
As the responsible Senate Department for the Interior and Sport announced on Tuesday evening, however, the 22,012 spectators are to be tested voluntarily. Two other measures, however, have been ordered.
While the continuous wearing of a mouth-nose covering such as a corona test is only recommended, the wearing of a mask when leaving the pitch, on the other hand, is obligatory. There is also a clear requirement for the capital duel on Saturday at the Alte Försterei in terms of beer consumption. The Senate Department for the Interior and Sport announced on Tuesday evening that an alcohol ban had been imposed in the stadium for the derby.
This means that Union will be able to play in a packed Alte Försterei for the first time since 1 March 2020 – a 2-2 draw against VfL Wolfsburg
