There were no further positive findings in the PCR tests carried out on Tuesday, the SVS announced. Two players and three members of the coaching and support staff are back in training.
Eighteen people in the immediate vicinity of the team were infected with the coronavirus last week. The match between league leaders FC St. Pauli and SV Sandhausen could not take place due to the many cases of corona.
Today, Wednesday, the SVS announced that there were no new positive findings in “the course of a further PCR test of the players and members from the coaching and support team of SV Sandhausen yesterday, Tuesday”.
A quintet is back
Two players and three members of the coaching and support staff would have met the requirements for a return to training, according to the statement. Players and coaches whose tests had come back negative the previous week had already returned to group training on Tuesday.
For those affected, who are currently still in isolation, further tests are planned for Thursday and Saturday. After the international break, SVS is scheduled to play 1. FC Nürnberg on 19 November.
