Hansi Flick has increased his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers: Jonathan Tah returns to the national team after more than half a year.
On last Friday only, national coach Hansi Flick nominated his 27-man squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers,on Monday one more player was added: Jonathan Tah was belatedly called up to the DFB squad that will face Liechtenstein on Thursday and Armenia on Sunday.
The DFB announced on Monday that the 25-year-old would arrive at the team hotel in Wolfsburg this evening and would be available for training on Tuesday morning. The Leverkusen player’s last international match dates back to October 2020, when the national team lost 6-0 to Spain. Tah was last nominated for the squad in March of this year, but failed to make an appearance at that time – still under Joachim Löw.
