Goncalo Paciencia is out for several weeks. The Eintracht Frankfurt offensive player suffered a muscle injury in his thigh in the last match against VfL Bochum.
The 0:2 defeat against VfL Bochum was bitter for Eintracht and especially for Paciencia: First, the attacker missed a handball penalty and thus missed the opportunity to equalise in the meantime. After just under half an hour, he had to be substituted due to injury.
It now emerged that the Portuguese will have to take several weeks off due to a muscle injury in his thigh. “In all likelihood, he will be out until the international break,” said his coach Oliver Glasner at a press conference on Thursday.
Paciencia will therefore miss his team’s Bundesliga games against RB Leipzig on Saturday and Fürth as well as next week’s Europa League match against Olympiakos Piraeus.
