The new Turkish national coach Stefan Kuntz receives support from Hoffenheim. Michael Rechner joins the coaching team of the Turks – on a temporary basis.
Rechner joins Turkey’s coaching team on an interim basis, TSG Hoffenheim announced on Sunday. Kuntz can plan with the 41-year-old for the two international match periods in October and November.
Rechner, who has been in charge of goalkeeper training for the professionals at TSG since 2015 and is responsible for all keepers in Hoffenheim’s youth teams, will continue to perform these functions at the Bundesliga club regardless of his involvement with Turkey.
“It is an exciting task and an outstanding experience for me. I am extremely excited to be part of this coaching team and would also like to thank TSG Hoffenheim for allowing me to take this step,” said Rechner.
