The national team attracted more viewers in front of the TV at the start of Hansi Flick’s tenure, the TV ratings are picking up.
Flick’s debut as coach of the DFB team in the 2-0 win over Liechtenstein was watched by an average of 6.74 million football fans (market share 26.9 per cent) on RTL, while the 6-0 win over Armenia attracted 7.11 million viewers.
The goal gala must have whetted the appetite for more, because the match on Wednesday evening in Reykjavik against Iceland showed a further increase in the number of viewers.
